Error: Zotero deletes new text entered in annotations in pdf viewer

When in the pdf viewer, Zotero will unpredictably delete text that I have entered into an annotation (whether in the form of a floating sticky note, or a highlighted segment of text.) If I select an annotation and begin typing in the field, the cursor will suddenly jump to the beginning of the text segment and a portion of the text I have just typed will be deleted. Sometimes some of the deleted text reappears again after disappearing for 1-2 seconds. The problem seems to occur most frequently when editing an existing annotation.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a source in pdf viewer
2. Open annotations viewer
3. Select an existing annotation
4. Select some text within the annotation field and delete it.
5. Begin typing new text.
(This often causes the cursor to jump and portions of the text to be deleted. This occurs frequently, but seemingly not 100% of the time when I try to reproduce the problem.)
