Some issues with MHRA footnotes

Hello,

I've been happily using Zotero for several years now, since grad school. However, I noticed a few issues recently when using MHRA footnotes, that I was hoping somebody might be able to look into? I'm using the current version of Zotero on a Mac (Catalina).

1. I've cited a book section that has a normal page span, but also has before it some entries in roman numerals, so that the entire page span (for the first citation) is: ix-xxii, xxvi-xxxii, lxiii, 3-276. However, it is not putting 'pp.' before this, but only 'p.', as if it were for a single page. I have found a work around by completely omitting the pages from the main Zotero program reference, and manually adding them as a suffix to the first citation. However, I then run into the issue of having to track the pages down for when I create a bibliography.

2. If I have several items in a reference, with long prefixes/suffixes, and then open the reference box to edit again, the long reference will extend while the shorter references will be far to the left, out of view. Zotero used to let me hold the left or the right arrow key to scroll left or right, and thus be able to see the other references and click them to edit or delete or whatever, but this hasn't worked for a while, requiring me to open the classic view, which is less than ideal.

3. If I cite a book section that's in a multi-volume work, it displays properly on the first citation. But in subsequent citations it insists on including the volume number, e.g.: Craster, 'Parish of Tynemouth', VIII, 126-27. However, only the pages are necessary, as the first citation announces which volume the chapter is in. Is there any way to have subsequent citations drop the volume number? I have found no work arounds.

4. If I am citing a multi-volume work that was published over several years, if I put the year span into the Date field in the main Zotero program's reference, it doesn't display properly (drops everything after the first year). The work around that I've found is to put the years in the Publisher field, e.g.: Reid, 1893-1940. Sometimes I forget, however, and I accidentally have an incorrect citation.

Thanks!
