Deleting an account doesn't remove user from groups

My client is tightening up their leaver process and one step is to revoke access by an employee when they leave.

https://www.zotero.org/settings/deleteaccount works well to remove the account but according to our Zotero administrator, their username/email still appears in any groups they were a member of.

Is this a bug or did we do something wrong? For now, we've updated the procedure to grab a list of the groups before deleting and asking the administrator to remove them.
  • Thanks for reporting. We had been removing access when the user deleted their account, then removing the user from the group later.

    We've switched to also explicitly removing the user from the group as part of the account deletion process so the other users in the group will see them removed immediately.
