Can I delete ~/.cache/zotero/zotero in linux?

Hi,
My operating system is Linux (debian). Inside my personal folder there is a folder called ".cache" and inside this folder there is another called "zotero" and inside this last one there is another called "zotero", that is, the structure is like this: ~ /.cache/zotero/zotero .
The last folder is 1.8 GB in size. What does zotero keep in that folder? Can I delete that folder?
