Double import of references

Hi! When I add a reference to Zotero, it turns up twice in my library. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Can you provide exact steps to reproduce this? That would never be a general problem.

Hi,
Yes it happens when I use the "add items by identifier" function. The two references look identical, but seem to have different authors? It happens every time when I use the function. See attached images. It doesn't happen with any other import option.
