I have only one publication for an author, however, citation gives me the year with a, or b.. as if the author has more than a publication that year, and I am using the same article title?!!
I have deleted the reference and added it again, I have only one copy of it in my Zotero list, but still gives me the author with a, or b.. and lately it gave me c!!!

If you delete and re-add items in Zotero, you create duplicates in your document: the deleted item and the new item are stored in the document and are treated as two (or maybe now three?) different item. You need to replace the citations in Word (and for future reference, merge any duplicates you may have in Zotero rather than deleting them)
