Google Scholar / Bibtex import translator error

I am posting this here because the known site translators page does not mention it.

Trying to import the following page generates an error "Could not save item":

http://scholar.google.co.uk/scholar.bib?q=info:lSGQgf7aNF8J:scholar.google.com/&output=citation&hl=en&ct=citation&cd=0

PS If there is a more formal way to create an issue (bug/enhancement/etc.) I can't find it but please let me know!

This was recently re-reported at http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/10330/save-to-zotero-google-scholar-not-working/#Item_4 .

The issue is that when a user clicks on "Import into BibTeX" from search result in Scholar, Firefox displays the BibTex file, with a folder icon in the address bar. When you click on the folder icon, Zotero informs you that it could not save the icon.

I can confirm this as well (debug D1875094618, error 562217584). It looks like the Google Scholar translator is being used even though the input is in fact BibTex. I think that URLs with http://scholar.google.com/scholar.bib should be read as BibTex, not Google Scholar URLs. Is this feasible?

This can and should be fixed, but it's worth noting that there's no reason to click "Import into BibTeX". The Google Scholar translator is intended to be used from the main search results page.
