How do I disable spell check?

How can I disable the spellcheck-as-you-type feature in Zotero? It is a little annoying when I am writing notes with names.

    Right-click and uncheck "Spell check this field". You can also add words (or names) to the dictionary via that menu if you wanted to keep spell-checking on.

    I used that and it worked and I was happy, but now when I create new notes I have to do the same thing for each note. Is there any way to disable spell check by default rather than do it for each individual note?

    Disabling "Check my spelling as I type" in the Firefox preferences Advanced->General tab would probably work.
