Zotero freezes when I start a new doc and try to cite

I use Word and have Zotero installed on desktop. I tried uninstalling my antivirus, tried disabling/enabling my word add-on, am not an elevated user... I am a doctoral student and I have a LOT of references in my account that I will stand to lose if I cannot ge this fixed. error log says
javascript warning: unreachable code after return statement...loader...
What is the fastet way to get this fixed?

Make sure the citation dialog isn't just behind the main Zotero window. If you're sure it's not, try restarting your computer.
