Hi, Could someone tell me how to use 'et al' instead of a long list of names for an in-text citation? Irritatingly it use et al when you select it and then changes it when it is inserted.

Also, how can I cite just an author without the date or 'no date' appearing? Ancient texts such as Homer, have no date...

I've tried Open university Harvard, Citethemright Harvard and am currently trying to add some others. I've also noticed that the isn't displaying in the bibliography either

Those should use et al. Have you tested in a new doc? If so, could you paste an in text citation example here?

As for no date: in Harvard styles you would typically cite the date of the edition you're using. The alternative is to handle citations to classic works manually and completely outside of standard references

No, I think you misunderstand, im refering to the accessed date for a website within a bibliography.

Just trying a new doc now.

OK, an example of OU Harvard bibliography for a website. The accessed date has importance in order to reflect any changes that may have occurred.

ok, given up and managed to find something that works for the bibliography and just changed my in-text citation style.
