Style Submission
I wanna submit a style to repository, however, don't wanna interfere in the Trac system... (Now I have an account in Trac)
Does anybody know how to submit a style to the repository?
thanks :)

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Instead of commenting here, you should start a new discussion. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
If you don't plan to submit many styles in the future, you can also just upload the style anywhere (e.g. gist.github.com ) and one of the people with SVN will put it up for you
I am trying to learn Slik-SVN and Totoise-SVN applications :)
also, note that the style that AJR was based on has changed recently and that hasn't been picked up yet by the repository - the new Vancouver style can be installed here:
http://www.zotero.org/styles/vancouver/dev?install=1
Public Clone URL: git://gist.github.com/222711.git
( you would want to give http://gist.github.com/222711 )
but what did you change/what is this based on?
If this is just a correct Vancouver/NLM style, it's a better idea to link to the original style, so we don't have to maintain different styles.
1) the month and issue are not included
2) for articles with up to 6 authors all are listed; for 7 or more authors, et al. is used after first 3
3) journal and book titles in italics
(http://www.arrs.org/uploadedFiles/ARRS/Publications/authorGuidelines.pdf)
i just made a few changes to the code so that the style essentially meets these requirements (couldn't figure out how to get book titles in italics, but journal titles are). i'm not a programmer so it was just trial/error until things looked right.
hope it helps.
