Zotero Installation & SCCM

Good Afternoon

Our lecturers have asked if they can have Zotero installed on their machines

I tried to install this as a virtual app using Apps Anywhere but the machine hangs, and I don’t know what is causing this

We will now look at an SCCM deployment but can you tell me if your .exe has silent switches so we can do this? Also do you have any details on installing the Word Plugin and the Edge Browser Extension via an SCCM command line silent install? I did a search online but couldn’t find any material on this

Also after a manual installation, the Word plugin did not appear, we use Defender and Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise

Do you have some documentation I can read that related to automating the full install of Zotero, M365 Word Plugin and Edge/Chrome extension via SCCM in a silent manner?

Any help greatly appreciated

Thank you

Stuart

You can search the forums for SCCM for other threads, but we don't have any official guidance to provide on this.
  • Thanks for that, do you have a command line switch for the executable so it can install silently without user interaction? I tried executablename.exe /s and executablename.exe /? but that didn't give me the command line prompt I was looking for
  • We use AutoIT to build installations for SCCM because it allows us to control the windows created by pesky setup programs that don't have an option for silent installation. I've just done that for Zotero today.
