pdf bookmarks

In light of Dan's caution against switching between the internal Zotero pdf reader and the system reader (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/390657/#Comment_390657), it would be great if there were a way to deal with (add/edit) pdf bookmarks within Zotero. One method I'm starting to try is just to use annotations of a particular colour for document structure, though of course these can't be nested. Will there eventually be a way to filter annotations (in the left pane) by colour? Thanks!

I'm doing the same thing - using one color for bookmarks and the other colors for highlights. It's definitely a kludge, though.
