Language: quote in text

Hello,

i found an adequate citation style for my thesis.

Here is my text (Berger und Mayer 2020).

First, im fine with the text inside the clamp,
but my text is german.

So, I would like to change it into (Berger und Mayer 2020).

The best would be to change it generally for al clamps with two authors.
I only found the way to edit each individual clamp.

Is it possible?

Does anybody can help me.

I`m very grateful for an answer.

Thank you very much

  • Clamp = brackets ;)

    Which citation style are you using?
    Many styles are not fixed for the locale which you can change under "Document Preferences".

    If it's locked you can open style and edit it. In the first line you'll see something like "default-locale=en-US". Delete that, give the style a new name etc. as explained here and that's it.

  • change from (Berger und Mayer 2020) to (Berger und Mayer 2020)? Is there anything different?
  • Hallo,

    sorry, i have to correct.

    At the moment, there is following quotation:

    (Berger and Mayer 2020)

    But I need: (Berger und Mayer 2020)

    The difference is the german word for "and" because my text is written in german.

    The demanded style is: Archivum Immunologgiae et Therapiae Experimentalis

    Archivum Immunologgiae et Therapiae Experimentalis.csl is a dependent style, the independent-parent is http://www.zotero.org/styles/springer-basic-author-date indicated as <link href="http://www.zotero.org/styles/springer-basic-author-date" rel="independent-parent"/>, you could edit that one, and insert <term name="and">und</term> in the <terms></terms> in <locale></locale>

    The final:

    <locale>
    <terms>
    <term name="and others">et al</term>
    <term name="et-al">et al.</term>
    <term name="edition" form="short">edn.</term>
    <term name="and">und</term>
    </terms>
    </locale>
  • And the edited csl should be applied instead of the old one.
