Cannot edit citations in Word

When trying to make changes to existing citations in Word, Zotero simply opens the new citation dialog box and I have to reinsert the whole citation. Often times, all I need to do is change a page number, or add sources to a citation, but am not able to do any of that without starting again from scratch. It seems like Zotero used to have edit functionality for existing citations. Is there a way to do this that I am missing? Thanks for your help.

    Could you submit a Report ID? What version of Windows and Word are you using (full version numbers)? Does it work well in a new document?
