After I modified the pdf attached to an item by Adobe Acrobat, the item and attached pdf will be separated sometimes, and I have to draft the pdf to corresponding item manually.
I'm using Zotfile to rename and move the attachment, does this have an impact?

dstillmanI suspect you're just accidentally dragging the PDF out of the parent. A change to the associated attachment file on disk would have no effect on the attachment item in your Zotero library.
