Feature Request: LaTeX math support in new Notes editor, Google Drive support in iOS Beta

edited December 15, 2021
I really enjoy the new beta notes, especially the capability of cross-referring the content of PDF file. The only reason stopping me from using it for heavy note-taking while reading a paper or a book is that it does not support inline and display math. And I believe many researchers in science and engineering are in desperate need of this feature.

I have been looking forward to it since March, yet the function does not appear. The latest updates on this seem to be in Oct.. So I was just wondering if the math support is under development and if yes, is there a rough timeline for the rollout? If no, then I can look for a walkaround.

Another feature request is cloud drive support in the iOS app. All my PDFs are stored in Google Drive, and therefore it would be useless for people like me if the iOS app does not support Google Drive storage.

Thanks for your nice work! Really looking forward to some updates on these two requests.
  • Regarding third-party storage services, iOS does not have any capability of supporting arbitrary linking systems. So, the available options for storing attachments are Zotero Storage or a WebDAV service. It is possible to set up WebDAV with Google Drive.
  • @bwiernik Hi! Thanks for the information. Then I will try to link my Google Drive to WebDAV.
  • +1. Math formula is necessary for many researchers.
