Feature Request: Tinyurl

Not sure if this has been requested, but is there a way to allow for automatic URL conversion when generating bibliographies? On last check (and they may have switched it since), MLA no longer requires URLs. I'm getting Zotero bibliographies from students that have URLs 4-lines long. Changing them through tinyurl or bit.ly or the likes would keep the URL but at least contain the link within a smaller character limit.
