How to change the position of 'locate menu'? It's too close to the right.

Not sure what you mean there. The Locate menu is at the left edge of the toolbar above the item pane.

You can see where it's supposed to be in the screenshot on the homepage here.

If that's not what you're seeing, can you take a screenshot, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox or Google Drive), and provide a link here?

Can you provide a screenshot of the entire Zotero window? Something's wrong about this — you're missing the search bar, and you don't show the sync button.

Yes, you can build from source and use the inspector in the Firefox 60 ESR dev tools.
