looks great in editor, not in footnote

One particular reference of mine looks fine in the footnote editor, but when it makes a footnote, the city and first character of the publisher are italicized in addition to the title. I tried deleting the footnote and remaking it. I tried reloading the book into Zotero. I tried deleting the city and publisher name in Zotero and retyping them. If it looks fine in the editor, there's not really anything I can do to fix it, since fixing it in the footnote won't stay.
  • I've also tried using multiple sources, but the same problem occurs. To be clear, when this problem occurs, rather than the italics being only on the entire title only where it is in other footnotes, the city is also italicized, and the first character of the publisher. The first character of the title, by contrast, is not italicized.

Again, it looks appropriate when I "show editor."
  • sorry, I don't have time to search for the thread - but there is a lengthy discussion on this somewhere on the forum The problem is connected to special characters (umlauts, diacrits and the like). Maybe someone else remembers or you can find the thread yourself.
