OSCOLA: short name for successive citation of report and European Commission documents
Hey all! I am writing my thesis in EU law and I am struggling with the citation of Commission's documents. According to OSCOLA, these documents should be cited:
"When citing European Commission documents (such as proposals and action
plans), give the body that produced the document, followed by the title in quotation
marks, and the COM number . Describe the document type in brackets after the title
if appropriate . In subsequent citations give only the COM number. E.g.:
Commission, ‘Action Plan on consumer access to justice and the
settlement of disputes in the internal market’ (Communication) COM
(96) 13 final"
I picked the "Report" template and for first citation it works well (even if I need to put the Institution in the Author bracket and not in the Institution one). The problem is with successive citations of the same document. It goes with the full citation again, when it should go with the Report Number or with the Short Title.
How can I solve this? Thanks!
