iOS app not syncing PDF highlights / notes to Mac

edited November 18, 2021
I've been unable to get my iPad PDF notes to be synced to my Mac. As a workaround I've been airdropping them over, which isn't a terrible experience, but it would be nice to have this synced automatically (like I believe it's supposed to).
Things I've tried:

1. updated my Mac Zotero to the latest beta version
2. manually clicked the Sync button on the Mac (I can't seem to find a button for this on the iPad?)
Have any of you been able to get this to work? https://omegle.club https://omegle.ws/
Thanks

Are you opening the PDFs in the built-in PDF reader in the Zotero desktop beta?
  • Well I am using built in PDF reader, but still I am not able to open it.
Whenever I click on my attached pdf in my library, it displays the Error with a message the pdf file is not available.

I have both the latest version of the Zotero beta on ipad and mac installed. I see that my pdfs are stored in some auto generated user folder on my mac. I have enabled the new PDF reader as was stated to be necessary. I unfortunately have no idea what I could change to make it work.
  • If it's saying the PDF isn't available, that doesn't have anything to do with highlights and notes. See Files Not Syncing.
