Download attachment via API

Hi, I am new to Zotero and checking out the possibilities via the API. I could not find an answer to the question how I could retrieve an attachment (JPG or PDF) to display it on a website. When I test with "curl -H Zotero-API-Key:XXX https://api.zotero.org/users/1234567/items/ABCDEFGH/file" there is just no output, no error, nothing.
