Multiple users offline

Hello!

I'm trying to achieve something with Zotero but I don't know what the least problematic way to go about it is.

I want to have multiple users collaborate using a shared Zotero library, without having internet access. The library can be read-only for all the users, but it would be good if it was possible for one user to be able to update (add/edit entries). The users would be using Zotero to work with references in Word document(s).

As I understand it, it's not very straight forward to set up a private syncing server so my guess is that the most straight forward approach is to have one user populate the library, place it on a shared but read-only location, and configure Zotero on the computers of the other users to read the library from there. But I don't know if the program would complain about the library being read-only.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!
