Hi, I am running Libreoffice and Zotero on Ubuntu 21.04. When I try to save my document as a .docx Zotero tells me that I will lose the links back to my library and that I must use the odt format. Is this correct? Does Zotero in LibreOffice not allow me to save files in the Word format?

Yes, that is correct, your citation data will be lost. You can change your citations to be saved as Bookmarks (in Zotero Document Preferences) and then save the document as .docx, but note that Bookmarks are quite prone to breaking when editing the document by accidentally extending/deleting bookmarks for Zotero citations.
