pdf downloading

I have paid subscriptions to several journals. When a new issue appears, I download the pdfs to Zotero. I log into the journal website, go to the latest issue and the Connector icon turns to a folder. I click on the folder and get the window that says "Select which items...". I Select All, click OK. For some journals, all the selected articles are downloaded. For others, only the pdfs for articles that are Open Access will download automatically. e.g. Review of Scientific Instruments. For the rest only the webpage downloads to Zotero. I can then double click the webpage entry in Zotero which takes me to the individual article web page where I can then download the pdf and then use "Attach new file" to attach it, but I have to do that for each article. Is there any way around this or is one simply at the mercy of the publisher? Thanks for any help you can provide. D1840430380
