Show items NOT present in a collection

Hello,
I am new to Zotero. I have marked some items (references) into a collection. I would like to select the items that are not present in that collection to move them into another collection. How would I do that?

alternatively: how do I import times into a specific collection. For instance, when I try to import my references into "my publications", they are simply loaded into the main folder.

Items that are not in any collection can be found in the Unfiled Items.

You can use advanced search to search for items that are not in a specific collection (but might belong to other collections).

Assuming you're using Zotero Connector, it will save to the collection that is currently selected in Zotero, however you can select another collection from a dropdown. "My Publications" is a feature of Zotero, it's not possible to import directly to that special collection.
