Notes Is Not Showing Up in the Right Column

Hi there,
I'm new to Zotero and have just downloaded the most recent version. I am trying to take notes on my reading, however only the "INFO" "TAGS" & "RELATED" buttons are in the right column. There is no "NOTES" or "ATTACHMENTS" button as there seems to be in the attaching notes tutorial found here: http://www.zotero.org/support/notes

Please let me know your thoughts! Thank you.

those two tabs have since been removed.

you can create a child note (i.e. a note attached to an item) either
1) by right clicking on an item and select add note or
2) by selecting an item, clicking on the small arrow to the right of the note icon (the yellow post-it symbol btw. the wand and the paperclip) and select "add child note".

thank you...i will try that. since the attachment piece is gone, do you know how to go about attaching?

several ways -
right click -- add attachment works, as does simply dragging a file from the OS to the respective item (the latter doesn't work under linux)

Or use the new paperclip menu in the toolbar with the item selected.
