Zotero Messages for Third-Party Integrations

Hi people,

I would like to get access to Zotero for Win from my application. Imagine something like the Word plug-in and what it does.

I've seen the repo for the plugin for Word and I can see that it is implemented by Sending Windows messages.

What I am not able to find is what messages Zotero uses for various tasks, e.g. retrieve a list of available items, change the style, etc.

Can anyone point me to the right direction?

Hi people,

I know the Web API.

I would like to get direct access to the desktop app, which is the local app framework as adamsmith says.

Maybe someone can point me to Zotero code where the framework is processed. I can then figure it out from the code if it is not documented.

More specifically, I'm pretty sure there have been a number of discussions about this on the zotero-dev Google group, several with specific code pointers, so I would start there and also follow up there with technical questions. We try to keep everything beyond CSL styles over there
