Real-time sync from Zotero?
Hi all,
We are the developers behind ResearchRabbit (https://www.researchrabbit.ai/) and we’re currently working on a two-way integration with Zotero. This integration has been a much-requested feature from our users, and we’re so excited to make it happen!
Currently, we’re trying to find a way to propagate changes from Zotero to ResearchRabbit automatically - meaning that if a user adds a paper to a Zotero collection, we’d also like to add that same paper into ResearchRabbit without needing user intervention (i.e., manually hitting ‘sync’ within ResearchRabbit to get new items from Zotero).
Ideally, we’d like to be able to subscribe to changes made in Zotero and receive those changes (via a webhook/similar mechanism) if possible. Based on a prior post (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/327812/#Comment_327812), we can see that webhooks were not available at that time. Therefore, we have two questions:
Is Zotero able to deliver changes made to collections via webhook currently? If not, is this functionality on the roadmap?
If webhooks are not available, what would be the suggested way to propagate changes from Zotero into ResearchRabbit?
Thanks for your help!
The ResearchRabbit Team
