I don't need syncing of file attachments anymore so I plan to revert to the free tier of Zotero storage. What happens then to the contents of my 900MB personal library?
In the server copy, will attachments be deleted?
In the local copy, is it safe to keep data syncing enabled or will this result in deleting attached files locally because they have been deleted or are unavailable in the server copy?

Yes, the server copies of attachments will eventually get deleted (the attachment will still show in the web library, but won't be accessible)
No, the local copy will _never_ get deleted unless *you* explicitly delete it in Zotero.
