Transferring citations from Google Docs to Word

Dear all,

I am currently trying to figure out whether it is possible to transfer linked citations from a Google document to a local Word document without having to re-link them.

Since all citations are neatly done in the Google docs, it would be of very tremendous help to not have to re-do all of them, now that we need to switch to Word.
