Full journal name in Journal Abbreviation field

Hi, I am using the zotero desktop application, and when clicking in "add item(s) by identifier", in the field of journal abbreviation, it appears the full journal name. How to add items with the abbreviated journal's names?

That field is populated by the data supplied by the publisher. Zotero doesn’t process it at all beyond that. You can manually edit it if needed. Note that the Zotero Word plugin will automatically abbreviate titles from the Title field and will ignore the Journal Abbr field by default, so editing this field isn’t usually necessary.

Thanks, that works for me. Disregard the field in zotero, because MS word will apply the right formating, incl. abbreviations when required
