All citations show authors' first names

All in-text citations I create are showing authors' first and last names and the year instead of only showing LAST NAME, DATE. It doesn't matter which style I use, all of them show the same result.

I'm testing this in a new library, so it is not an issue of disambiguation.

Given the description, I would actually suspect they are entered incorrectly. Family name and given name need to be in separate fields

That is, click two-bar button next to each name so there are separate (last) and (first) fields for each name. The single (full name) field is for organizational names.

That’s exactly what the problem was. The interface make it seems like you’re supposed to type “LAST NAME, NAME” instead of being two separate fields. It was driving me crazy lol.
