Type Audio Recording - SONG
Hi, I need to cite songs and CDs in some work I am doing. I am using APA 7:
The format should be:
Songwriter, A. (Date). Title of song in sentence case [Song recorded by]. On Title of album in italic sentence case. Name of music publisher/record label/studio.
Andrews, F. (2009). The house she lived in [Song recorded by The Veils]. On Sun Gangs. Rough Trade.
I have tried the Audio recording field with the Extra container, but that does not work.
For example
Prince (1982). 1999 [Song recorded by Prince]. On 1999. Warner Bros.
Is reflected as
Prince. (1982). 1999. In *1999*. Warner Bros. Records.
(** italics) and In rather than [Song ...]
Any work-arounds or ideas welcome. I am not a programmer (anymore, just an older guy writing a dissertation.

I used
FORMAT: Song recorded by Prince
EXTRA: Container title:1999
This yields:
Prince. (1982). 1999 [Song recorded by Prince]. In 1999. Warner Bros. Records.
The only problem is the "In" rather than "On". LP is in italics as required.
I'll just have to edit the final copy by hand I guess for now.
