Group Database: 3 simultaneous users?

I have been searching the discussions and is it right that:

If create a group library and the users all have their own individual Zotero log-in /account to access the database and shared admin. rights that only one user can work in the database at one time?

If more than 1 user made changes at the same time the database would get corrupted?

If the users sync the group database with their own desktop version of Zotero, turn of automatic sync., work in their desktop folder version of the shared database and then manually sync the desktop changes to the shared database (stored on the web) would this work? (As long as they don't preform a manual sync at the same time?)

Thanks

Assuming you're referring to Zotero syncing, no, you don't have to worry about this — Zotero syncing is of course designed to allow multiple people to work on a library simultaneously. Leaving auto-sync enabled helps prevent conflicts that would need to be manually resolved.
  • Thanks for your reply. That's great. Is it better that people work in their desktop databases of Zotero (keeping auto-sync on) rather than directly in the web database or doesn't it matter?

Sorry if sounds a daft question I haven't set up a shared Zotero database before to be used by more than 1 person at the same time.

It doesn't matter, but we always recommend using the desktop app if you're doing any significant work — that's almost always what people are referring to when they talk about "Zotero".
