Citation abbreviations

citation abbreviations come out in different languages (et al. et al), can anyone help me? I don't know how to unify it. Thank you
  • Could you say a bit more? Which citation style, which languages?
  • Thanks for your answer. The problem I have is that the abbreviations of the bibliographic citations in the text, some are in Spanish (Palant et al.) And others in French (Kevin et al.) And I don't know how to unify them. I would like to automatically switch all of them to Spanish. I am finishing my thesis and my tutors are asking me to do so. Thank you. I am looking forward to your response. Elena Ruiz
  • I don't understand how one of these is Spanish and the other French? They both just say "et al."? Sorry for being dense here.
  • Sorry, I wanted to decorate some quotes in Spanish (Palant y cols.) And others así (Kevin et al.). Thanks
  • Which citation style is that? Was the document ever authored in French? And have you checked the metadata in Zotero?

In a correctly updating document in any of the regular citation styles, it's not even possible to have et al. in different languages, so something is going wrong here.
  • Sorry, I explained it wrong.
The problem I have is that the abbreviations of the citations are in Spanish (Palant y cols. 2016) and others are in Latin (Kevin et al. 2017).

Latin is the language of origin of Spanish. It's Latin and not French (sorry).

Could you help me to unify all the citations automatically to the current Spanish? .Thank you.
  • OK, then the above applies:

"Which citation style is that? Was the document ever authored in another language (e.g., English)? And have you checked the metadata in Zotero?

In a correctly updating document in any of the regular citation styles, it's not even possible to have et al. in different languages, so something is going wrong here. "
  • ASA 6th si no me equivoco.

Me gustaría que todas las citas se unificaran con este estilo de autor y año en español:
    Palant y cols. 2016 ( Palant y colaboradores significa)
Pero no entiendo por qué algunas citas están en latín.

Muchas gracias por su atención. Me recomienda algo? Es para mi tesis de medicina.
