How to find and list citations with prefix or suffix?

Dear fellow Forumers!

Is it possible for Zotero to automatically find and list these citations that has prefixes or suffixes and those citations that was not altered in that way? I mean another option beside checking it by yourself one citation after another citation.

Wish you good health,
QB
  • Not easily, no. What is the use case?
  • @adamsmith Thank you for your answer.

When I started writing my thesis I thought that footnotes can be also used to say more on a topic without interrupting the flow of the paper. Now I have changed my mind and I think that footnotes should better not contain substantive content because it distracts the reader. In my opinion you should either find a way to include digression above the footnote line or get rid of it.

So now I have to identify citations with prefixes and suffixes in order to delete prefixes and suffixes or to copy them.
  • Might it be possible to use the "unlink citations" option to create a copy of your file without the fields and then simply search for the prefix or suffix, presuming there is a standard format to them? Then you can use that to guide your changes in the original document.
