Problems sorting works by original date

I am using Chicago Manual Style 17th edition (author-date), and the manual states in 15.40 that "For more than one work by the same author, the first date determines placement in the reference list". Nevertheless, instead of what is expected I am getting the works sorted by issued date like this:
Bourdieu, Pierre. (1996) 2010. Sobre la televisión. Translated by Thomas Kauf. Barcelona: Anagrama.
———. (1995) 2010. ‘The Political Field, the Social Science Field, and the Journalistic Field’. In Bourdieu and the Journalistic Field, edited by Rodney Benson and Erik Neveu, translated by Richard Nice, 29–47. Oxford: Polity.
Is there any workaround for this issue? Thank you!
