how do I manage titles that are cited in my document but are now saved in my zotero library?
Hi
So, I started my thesis on one computer, on which I also started using Zotero for my references.
Unfortunately I had to change computers in a hurry, and forgot to synchronize the references. I have begun to redo them, by collecting the metadata to Zotero all over again and doing the references again in my Word document.
But it is like Zotero can differentiate between the titels saved in my Zotero library from the references that existed in the document from the other computer.
It creates a mess in the references.
When I redo them, I put in the new reference and it comes up (XXX, 2006a, p. X) and delete the old one, which says (XXX, 2006b, p. X) - like the titel is saved two times?
Why does it not delete the 'a' after the year, ones the reference is changed to the one saved in my Library?
Hope this difficult explanation makes sense and you can help!
Best
Julie

emilianoeheynsIf you're still seeing a's and b's that means you haven't replaced them all. To Zotero it means that this author had two publications in the same year, which happen to have the same title.
