Losing Annotations While Converting from Stored Files to Linked Files

Hello all,

I just migrated from mendeley and am new to Zotero. After I did the migrations, I can see all my annotations made with mendeley using the built-in beta pdf viewer of zotero. However, after I convert the stored attachments to linked ones with zotfile, the annotation are all gone, any suggestions on how to fix this issue? thanks in advance.

Here are my environments:
zotero-5.0.97-beta.35 on linux 64 bit
zotfile -5.0.16-fx

    ZotFile hasn't been updated since the beta came out, doesn't know anything about Zotero annotations, and will delete them if you use it to convert an attachment with existing annotations.

    Thanks for the answer, hoping to see the ZotFile update soon

    In the mean time, I figured out a way to work around this limitation temporarily, I can export the library from Zotero beta which seems to flatten the annotations to the pdf file. Then I delete the Zotero local storage and import the previous export library and use ZotFile to convert them to linked attachments. Through this way it seems the annotations can be preserved in the pdf files.
