Upgrade StorageZotFile suddenly stopped automatic renaming

I'm having trouble with automatic renaming in ZotFile. It was working just fine until recently, but it suddenly decided to stop. It still renames and moves files when I click "manage attachments -> rename attachments", but it does not work automatically anymore. I tried messing with the settings, which I even set to "always rename", but it made no difference.
I have no idea what might be the problem. The only thing I can think of is that I installed Zotero OCR yesterday. However, uninstalling it did not seem to make a difference.
Has anyone experienced this?
