Subcollection documents not appear in parent/main collection

Hi everyone, it is as the title suggests; while research entries I add are successfully being added to a given subcollection, is there a way to make the combined total of all the entries in all the subcollections appear in the parent collection? I'm using the 5.0.97-beta.33+fdcd4e51c version.

Thanks in advance everyone--recently switched from Mendeley and could not be happier.
