It would be absolutely fantastic if Zotero could import the citation for the article that I'm reading instead of the main Google Reader page. I can always open the actual article/blogpost in a separate tab and then save that citation, but it would be immeasurably more useful to import directly into zotero while I'm scrolling through all of my feeds.

Much agreed!!! I've taught a few classes on Zotero over the past few weeks, and many people have asked if this functionality is possible... I could definitely convert more people to the ways of Zotero if you had a translator for Google Reader.
