Building PDF files so that citation can be extracted by Zotero

Dear all,

Our institute produces many policy briefs, research reports and publications that are often cited. These are always released also as full text PDF. We would like to simplify the citation process for the other scholars and researchers. How do we embed the citation in the PDf so that Zotero can extract it?

    To help with PDF recognition (and many other things), the main thing you can do is register DOIs and include the DOI within the first few pages.

    But you would also want make sure you had article pages with proper embedded metadata and a citation_pdf_url link to the PDF, which is how Zotero users would be most used to saving the item and associated PDF.
