Better Bibtex stops generating citekeys (Report ID: 996233735)

I opened Zotero 30 minutes ago, and a pop-up of Better Bibtex for updates appeared. I clicked "restart now" as usual and proceeded to save references. However, now, all my items do not have any citation keys at all. Tried restarting the program a couple of times to no avail. I also tried disabling and enabling the Better Bibtex add-on—same results.

Anyone out there who has any solutions for this? Thanks in advance!

BBT 5.4.19 is out that addresses this problem. Apologies for the disruption.
