Zotero not working in Google Docs

I'm trying to use Zotero in Google Docs in Firefox. Nothing happens when I hit the "Z" icon on the toolbar and similarly when I click on Zotero in the menu nothing shows up so I'm not able to cite. Please advise how to resolve. Thank you.
