Searching for Citation Style

Hi,

I am looking for a citation style with the first three letters of the author, a minus and the two last numbers of the year.

Example:
[ECK-13] Eckermann, E.: Auto und Karosserie – Geschichte Fertigung Design von der Kutsche bis zum Personenwagen. Wiesbaden: Springer Vieweg-Verlag, 2013.

Would be great if someone could help me:)

Thanks
H3NK
  • These are so-called label styles.
We have one of those: https://www.zotero.org/styles?format=label

Are you looking for this style for a specific journal/publisher?
  • Thanks for your answer. I write the documentation of my study research project for an institute of my university. They recommend this style and call it Harvard-Nummerierung (German for numbering) in their information paper. Alternative I am aloud to use the Harvard style with number label style [1],[2],... But my tutor prefers the other style. Actually the information paper of the institute refers also to the DIN 1505-2.

Is it difficult to change the label style by myself? I wrote my Bachelor Thesis with LaTex and JabRef. But now at the other institute I use Word and had to switch to Zotero. I really like the functions and the easy handling but I am still looking for a solution with the label style....
  • If you find a author-date (Harvard) style that matches what you're looking for then it's relatively easy to add the label.
  • I will check the Harvard styles tomorrow. Thank you for your help.
  • How long would it take if I make a request for a citation style for my institute? I could send a source directory as an example. I am not really happy with the other harvard styles...
  • Did you use this? You should find something pretty close (80%+): https://editor.citationstyles.org/searchByExample/
  • @damnation used it now but it really depends on the type of source. I got following examples of the word file of the institute:

    Online image:
    [BLA-10] Black & Decker GmbH: Idstein: Internet 2010-10-23, http://www.

    Book:

    Lecture script:

    Hi,
