Word 2007, Office 2007

Could someone please give me exact instructions as to what I need to do to get the "zotero" toolbar working in word.
Did it with Word 2003 and not having any problems.

  • The current windows version of the Zotero toolbar is for Word 2003, I'm afraid. None is available yet for Word 2007, unless I'm misinformed. (And the file format is different, so I understand that porting will take a little bit of work.) The only option is setting your output format and either selecting "Create Bibliography from Selected Item..." from the context menu, or copying citations directly, using CTRL-ALT-C. Then pasting them as regular text into your document.

    This is what I'm doing anyway at the moment, since I need more control over how my citations look than Zotero's auto-citing capabilities currently allow.

    You'll see from the forums that a Word 2007 toolbar is certainly on the planning books.
  • I haven't done much testing, but it already works in Word 2007 for me!

    Put the plugin into your Word 2007 start-up directory as usual, then in Word 2007 select the "Add-Ins" tab and you should see the Zotero tools.
