Word plugin: Bibliography formatting inconsistent between Word 2003 and 2007
I found the following inconsistency in 2.0b7.1 with regards to the MS Word Plug-in:
In Word 2007 the paragraph formatting for a bibliography is reset to:
Style: Normal
Spacing Before: 0 pt
Spacing After: 0 pt
In Word 2003 the paragraph formatting for a bibliography is reset to:
Style: Normal
Spacing Before: <as per the style>
Spacing After: <as per the style>
The following parameters in the CSL file can influence the bibliography formatting but they do not have any impact on the "Spacing" parameter:
<option name="entry-spacing" value="1"/>
<option name="line-spacing" value="1"/>
<option name="hanging-indent" value="false"/>
I would suggest that either additional parameters for "Spacing" or a new parameter to "keep-existing-style" be added to the CSL file.
In Word 2007 the paragraph formatting for a bibliography is reset to:
Style: Normal
Spacing Before: 0 pt
Spacing After: 0 pt

If so, I believe the current behaviour makes it very difficult to create and publish CSL styles that could be readily used without adjustments.
